4-H Summer Camp Registration Starts March 19

4-H Summer Camp registration will begin Monday, March 19, and is open to all youth ages 9-13. This year, Rockbridge continues the 4-H camping experience with Botetourt County.

Local youths will camp at the W.E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center at Smith Mountain Lake the week of June 11-15. Activities at camp include archery, canoeing, climbing, crafts, horsemanship, performing arts, small animals, swimming, robotics, sports, tie-dye basics and vet science.

Registration forms can be picked up and returned at the Rockbridge County Extension office, and are accepted on a first-come basis. A $120 deposit (nonrefundable) is required at the time of registration, and the remaining balance is due Thursday, May 3, as is all associated camp paperwork. The total cost of camp is $270 and includes lodging, meals, snacks, T-shirt, all activities and transportation. Financial aid applications are also available for those needing assistance, and a $120 deposit is still required.
