Blues Earn 54-42 Win With Exciting Finish At William Campbell

Friday, Sept. 28 – The Parry McCluer High School football team knocked William Campbell from the ranks of the unbeaten, as the Blues scored two touchdowns in the final nine seconds, the second on a fumble return, for a 54-42 win on Friday night in Naruna.

The score was tied 42-42 before the Fighting Blues’ final scoring surge. Marcellius Dawson led PM with three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score at the end.

With two consecutive wins, the Blues improved to 2-3, while William Campbell fell to 4-1.

The Blues will begin Pioneer District action next Friday at 7 p.m. with their homecoming game against Craig County in Buena Vista.
