Hoofbeats Therapeutic Riding Center will hold its annual Hear the Beat Christmas Show on Saturday, Dec. 9, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Virginia Horse Center’s Anderson Coliseum.  The horseshow fundraiser also features a tack sale, holiday bazaar and food.

“This is a fun event for English and Western riders of all ages and ability levels,” said Carol Branscome, Hoofbeats director.  “Our featured event is the Ugly Sweater class, so be sure to wear your favorite ugly sweater!”

Holiday-themed classes also include Reindeer Games, Santa’s Little Helpers (leadline), Sleigh Ride Together (pairs class), New Fallen Snow (beginner hunter walk/trot), Hallelujah! (green horse walk/trot) and a horse and rider Christmas costume class, among others.

Classes are $10 each, and a complete listing is available at www.hoof-beats.com.  Riders may register in advance on Hoofbeats’ website or in person on Saturday.

All proceeds will go to the nonprofit riding center, which serves children and adults with disabilities and long-term illnesses or injuries.  For more information call 464-3337.
