National Veterans Golden Age Games Registration Starts Feb. 25

Tuesday, Feb. 12 – Local veterans are encouraged to participate in the National Veterans Golden Age Games, which will take place June 5-10 in Anchorage, Alaska.

The games are open to veterans, ages 55 or older, who receive health care from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The NVGAG is the premier senior adaptive rehabilitation program in the United States and the only national multi-event sports and recreational seniors’ competition program designed to improve the quality of life for all older veterans, including those with a wide range of abilities and disabilities. The VA and encourages senior Veterans to be proactive in embracing a healthier lifestyle, thus achieving the NVGAG “Fitness for Life” motto.

Registration is from Feb. 25 to March 8 or until events fill up. Veterans interested in registering must have a physical before they can register. To register or for more information, including a list of events, visit
