Paul Willis Majors Sr., 71, of Buena Vista died Feb. 27

Paul Willis Majors Sr., 71, of Buena Vista, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018.

He was born Jan. 24, 1947, to the late Burton Lee Majors and Cinda Sorrells Majors. In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brother, Carl Majors, and brother-in-law, David O’Connor. Surviving are three sisters, Ann O’Connor, Peggy and husband Vincent Lukas, Bernadette and husband Billy Conner, and sister-in-law, Darlene and husband Bob Sloan.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Barbara Huffman Majors; his son, Paul and daughter-in-law Dawn Majors; and his three most beloved grandchildren, Gabrielle Faith, Zachary Paul and Brady Forrest Majors.

Paul graduated from Parry McCluer High School in 1966, joined the United States Army, and married his high school sweetheart, Barbara.  He was a Vietnam veteran and also served many years in the Army Reserves.  He was employed by General Cable, Blue Bird East, and Mohawk Industries.

Paul was an active member of the American Legion Post 126 and served many years as commander. He enjoyed calling bingo, working Shop for Tots, and helping with many benefit cakewalks, and each cake was his favorite! Paul always looked forward to visiting with children at Christmas; thank you to Billy and Bobby Spence for the opportunity.

As a member of Grace Trinity Church, Paul was an adult Sunday school teacher, and served as both a deacon and an elder of the church. Over the years, Paul had made so many dear friends and encourages each one of you to go to church and take your children.

Paul’s chariot has arrived and carried him to his heavenly home. What a joyous reunion that must be with family and friends.

A funeral was conducted Saturday, March 3, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home. Burial was private.

Arrangements were handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
