PM Boys Cagers Roll By Craig County, 73-18

Friday, Feb. 9 -- Parry McCluer High School cruised past Craig County 73-18 in a Pioneer District boys basketball contest in Buena Vista.

Koty Baker scored 16 points and Zach Claytor totaled 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Fighting Blues (10-9, 7-2 Pioneer), who outscored the Rockets 44-6 across the second and third periods. Will Dunlap added 13 points for PM, and Lance Fitzgerald dished out five assists.

It was a successful Senior Night for Baker and classmate Cole Walker, who were honored in a pregame ceremony. Walker snagged five rebounds in the game.

Dalton McPherson led Craig with five points, and Wyatt McPherson collected eight rebounds.

PM will close out the regular season at Bath County on Saturday, starting with junior varsity action at 5 p.m. The Blues have also earned the No. 2 seed in next week's Pioneer District Tournament, clinching a quarterfinal bye and booking a spot in the semifinal round at Bath County on Thursday.
