Monday, May 15 -- The Rockbridge County High School boys lacrosse team picked up its third straight win, besting Liberty Christian Academy 15-12 on Senior Night in Lexington.

Jake Tomlin scored five goals and Chris Ritter made 15 saves for the Wildcats (4-9). Tucker Beebe and Foster Friedman each totaled three goals and three assists for RC, and Jason Vess also notched three goals.

Ben Jauch led the Bulldogs (4-9) with six goals and two assists, and Justin Peters tallied four goals.

RC built up a 14-8 lead early in the fourth quarter, only to see LCA rally to score four of the game's final five goals. But the Wildcats were able to fend off the Bulldogs' comeback attempt, avenging a 10-7 road loss to LCA in mid-April.

Prior to the game, the Wildcats honored their seven seniors: Beebe, Friedman, Ritter, Kirk Arnold, Cole Fowler, Jared Jarvis and Robert Smith.

The Wildcats wrap up the regular season at Cave Spring on Wednesday.
