William Custis Cummings, 84, of Waynesboro died June 27

William Custis Cummings, 84, of Waynesboro died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Augusta Health.

Born Oct. 29, 1933, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Charles Franklin Cummings and Lumma Pearl Entsminger Cummings. 

Mr. Cummings was a member of the Fishersville Baptist Church and retired as a traffic manager with ConAgra. Bill loved all kinds of sports, hunting, fishing, car racing and most of all hunting white tail deer at his hunt camp at Jennings Creek.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Lou Owens Cummings; sons, William C Cummings Jr. of Chesterfield and Gregory L. Cummings of Mt Solon; a daughter, Catherine C. Swartz of Roanoke; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at Harrison Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, by Dr Robert Moore III.  Burial will follow at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery.

Family will receive friends one hour before the service at Harrison Funeral Home.
