Donald Richard Risener, 66, of Lexington died Friday, July 23, 2010.

He was born Nov. 26, 1943, in New York, a son of Pittman and Anita Kral Risener.

Mr. Risener was a former Long Island police officer and owned and operated Long’s Campground in Rockbridge County for 20 years. He also enjoyed golfing.

Surviving are his wife, Susan J. Risener; children, Dawn Peite of New York, Wendy Risener of Lexington, Robin Williams of North Carolina, Stacy Morschhauser of Kentucky and Jodi Beaudoin of Richmond; one brother, James Risener of Lexington; one sister, Anita Risener of New York; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. All services will be private.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
