RC And PM Indoor Track And Field Teams To Compete At VMI Saturday

Tuesday, Jan. 3 – The Rockbridge County and Parry McCluer high school indoor track and field teams will compete in the East Coast Elite Meet on Saturday at Virginia Military Institute’s Corps Physical Training Facility in Lexington.

The meet, co-founded by Dr. Drew Ludtke, will start at 9 a.m., with sprints and field events, followed by distance races and relays later in the morning and in the afternoon. It’s scheduled to run until about 5:30 p.m.

More than 1,500 athletes are expected to compete in the meet, which would make it the biggest meet in VMI history. Admission is $10.
