The Relay For Life of Rockbridge County will hold its 2025 recruitment kickoff meeting next Thursday, March 27, at 6 p.m. at Gina’s Trattoria, 98 E Midland Trail.
Area residents are encouraged to attend next week’s meeting to help organize the planning committee and dates for 2025. The meeting will also provide attendees with information on how to participate in the upcoming Relay For Life event, form teams, and engage in fundraising activities.
Last year’s Relay For Life of Rockbridge County event, held on Aug. 24 at Central Elementary School, brought together hundreds of participants and raised significant funds for cancer research and support services.
This year’s Relay For Life is especially significant as it marks 40 years of hope, remembrance, and progress in the fight against cancer. Founded in 1985, Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event, bringing communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors, and raise money for groundbreaking research and patient care.
