Last week, my brother, Zach Brown, and I picked up trash along the west end of James River Road between Arnolds Valley Road and Elk Creek Lane. We gathered six large bags of trash in that short twotenths of a mile stretch. This week, we will be picking up trash on the hill between Elk Creek Lane and Manor View, as well as along the east end from the circle to Big Hell Gate Lane.

Coming up next month in the Valley, Thunder BRidge will be hosting an open studios event on Saturday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring 16 resident artist studios and several guest artists as well. Food and drinks will be available.
