This past Sunday, High Bridge Presbyterian Church welcomed back the Rev. Steve Willis from a week’s vacation.
Small group Bible study will meet at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall on Thursday, March 27. Joe Hawes will lead the lesson. Light refreshments will be served, and everyone is invited to attend.
On March 30, we will take up a fifth Sunday mission offering for the Rev. Paul Sydnor, our missionary in Turkey.
After worship next Sunday there will be a special youth event, led by the director of children’s ministries, Donna Lotts.
The evening circle meets at 6 p.m. on April 1 at Lea Braford’s. Pam Tolley leads the Bible study.
Don and Jeanne Jeffers recently returned from a vacation in Alaska during which they attended the Iditarod dog sled race.
The community of Arnolds Valley and Natural Bridge Station mourns the loss of Gloria Smith, who passed away at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital in Lexington on March 18. Her memorial service was March 24 at Harrison’s Funeral Home followed by interment at High Bridge.
The cemetery committee would appreciate removing flowers that interfere with mowing and weed eating by April 1.
The food pantry will open promptly at 9 am on Saturday, March 29, and close at 11 a.m. The High Bridge congregation is collecting pasta and pasta sauce for the food pantry during the month of March.
