The second La Leche League meeting of the year will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday,April 1, at Grace Episcopal Church, 123 W. Washington St., Lexington, in the Canterbury Room on the second floor, accessible via the elevator at the back of the church.
Meetings provide a forum for breastfeeding mothers to come together and share their joys and concerns. Meetings are facilitated by LLL leaders who have all nursed their own children and have had training through LLL International to provide up-to-date medical information and help problem solve where needed.
Topics to be considered may be why breastfeeding is so important for babies, families and communities, why breastmilk is the ideal nutrition for the newborn, when might a home visit be considered helpful or strategies for calming a fussy baby.
Babies and toddlers are welcome as well as questions and ideas to share.
