In honor of Social Workers Month in March, ConnectionsPlus Healthcare + Hospice recognized the contributions of social workers who dedicate their lives to helping others navigate life’s challenges.
This year’s theme, “Social Work: Compassion + Action,” highlights the profound impact social workers have on individuals and communities, said a spokesperson.
Each day, social workers help millions of Americans in various settings, including hospices, hospitals, schools, social service agencies, libraries, and more, using their expertise to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
“At ConnectionsPlus, our social workers play a crucial role in providing care and support to patients and families dealing with chronic illnesses, end-of-life struggles, and grief,” said Delea Bowerfind, director of counseling services. “Their compassion goes above and beyond, ensuring that our patients and their families receive the highest level of care and emotional support during difficult times.
“We are deeply appreciative of the dedication, respectful care, and support our social workers extend to our patients, families, and team every day. Their compassion, collaboration, expertise, and advocacy make me proud to be a part of their team,” she said.
“We ask you to join us as we recognize, support, and celebrate social workers, not only during Social Workers Month but yearround.”
