Area firefighters responded to a brush fire at Lake Robertson on Wednesday, March 26, at around 3:30 p.m. A tree had fallen on a power line, sparking the blaze, according to Brad Zollman, Rockbridge County’s deputy fire and emergency chief. The fire was contained to about 4 to 6 acres within the Lake Robertson property and was extinguished after several hours. Crews responded from Effinger, Lexington, Kerrs Creek, Rockbridge Baths and Natural Bridge fire departments, the Department of Forestry and Rockbridge County.
