The Lexington/Rockbridge Area Minister’s Alliance will sponsor the annual Community Palm Sunday Parade this Sunday, April 13.
Participants will gather between 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. in Hopkins Green where complimentary palms will be distributed.
The parade will be led by a bagpiper and participants will march to the downtown churches and pray, read scripture and sing as the churches begin Holy Week celebrations.
The Community Easter Sunrise Service will be held at the Lexington Presbyterian Church on Easter Sunday at 7 a.m. Breakfast will be served immediately after the worship service.
