CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF LEXINGTON ZONING ORDINANCE
A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington Planning Commission at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday,April 24, 2025 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to a proposal to amend the Zoning Ordinance to consider either prohibiting the mini-warehouse use in all zoning districts, or to adopt use and design standards to regulate the mini-warehouse use. The first proposal is to amend Article III to remove Mini-warehouse as a conditional use in the C-2 zoning districts. The latter proposal is to amend Article XI to add use and design standards for mini-warehouses and to amend Article XX to amend the definition for miniwarehouse.
A copy of the draft Zoning Ordinance Amendment, case number ZOA 2025-02, is available for public review and examination between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the Planning and Development Department located on the second floor of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street. CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW AN APPLICATION TO MODIFY THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ALLOWING 123 W. WASHINGTON STREET TO BE USED AS A DAY CARE CENTER
A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington Planning Commission at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 24, 2025 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to a Conditional Use Permit application submitted by Rhianna Schlief. The application is a request for a Conditional Use Permit that would allow the day care center operating out of a portion of Grace Episcopal Church located at 123 W. Washington Street (Tax Map # 16-3-C) to operate between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and to enroll up to twenty (20) students. A copy of the application, case number CUP 2025-04 is available for public review and examination between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in the Planning and Development Department located on the second floor of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street. BUENA VISTA CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING April 17th 2025
Pursuant to Code of Virginia Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-1800, notice is given that the City Council of the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.
1) Zoning Map Amendment, Conditional Use Permit, and Right of Way Abandonment, Tax Maps 47-1-1-27-1, 47-1-E—A, 47-1-1-27-6 through 10; 600 block of Magnolia Avenue. The project proposes to rezone from R3 Residential Limited to R4 Medium Density Residential for the purpose of constructing 22 townhouses and associated private driveways and parking. The undeveloped alley running through this block would be abandoned. The Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, City Hall, 2039 Sycamore Ave, Buena Vista VA 24416. The meeting begins at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 17th 2025.
