Sunday, Feb 26, High Bridge Presbyterian Women installed officers during worship service with Lorna Whisler, a past moderator. Installed were treasurer, Kathy Gilbert; vice moderator, Esther Pennington; and search chairperson, Audrey Armentrout. Member-at-large Courtney Thomas will be installed later. All members of the coordinating team were invited to be a part of this installation.

Congratulations to Dwinnie Shafer who was surprised to be awarded a lifetime membership in the Presbyterian Women. In attendance for this honor were her family members — Celine and Ron Reid and son Jackson of Waynesboro, and daughter Heather and husband Jimmy Floyd and children Evan and Madelyne of Stuarts Draft. Other family members were James and Susan Shafer of Wilmington, N.C., Jay Shafer and also Jane Shafer of Plank Road, Brenda Shafer of Big Island, Cathy Ayers and grandson Bearon Wilson of Buena Vista, and Dianne Rakes of Salem.

Also attending worship Sunday was Sarah Eller, past moderator of PW Peaks Presbytery.

This Sunday, March 12, the Rev. Dr. Amy Fetterman will deliver her final sermon as she has served our church for the last two years as interim pastor. A reception will be held afterward with refreshments in her honor.

Also on the 12th we will celebrate Holy Communion, receive the Noisy Can and food pantry offering, and children’s church will be led during service by Donna Lotts in the education building.

Mark your calendar for upcoming dates: Weekday Religious Education, March 13 at 6 p.m.; Afternoon Circle March 14 at 1 p.m. The evening circle will meet Tuesday, March 27, at 6 p.m. with Esther.

The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, March 11, from 9 to 11 a.m. the month when the events are routinely held, is now due on the last day of the month.
