The Rev. Dr. Kevin E. Donalson will be the guest speaker at the annual Community MLK Worship Service at First Baptist Church in Lexi ng ton on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 4 p.m.
Donalson is the senior pastor at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon. He has dedicated his ministry to working as a champion for human rights. He also serves as executive board member and corresponding secretary of the National Baptist Convention Donalson previously served as the senior pastor at New Sunlight Baptist Church in Lake Charles, La., and the Zion Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C.
He is a graduate of the Morehouse College in Atlanta and received his Master of Divinity degree from the Howard University in Washington, D.C., and his doctorate degree from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
Guest choirs will be providing music at Sunday’s service.
