After a three-year hiatus, the Hot Pursuit 5K will return on Saturday, April 15, for its third year. The 5-kilometer running/ walking race, which will take place at the Virginia Horse Center, will raise funds for the Lexington Police Foundation and the Lexington Mounted Unit.
Online registration is $35 and is available until April 12 at https://runsignup.com/Race/ Info/VA/Lexington/HotPursuit5KVA. The deadline to guarantee a t-shirt is April 1. Packet pickup info will be posted on the website.
The race will begin at 10:30 a.m., with race day registration starting at 10:30 a.m. The Hot Pursuit 5K is open to runners and walkers of all abilities, and strollers and pets on leashes are welcome.
After the race, awards will be given to overall and age group winners. Finishers will be rewarded with donuts from Pure Eats and pulled pork sandwiches from C.H.E.F.S. Catering Company.
