Tourism Board Offers Grants For Local Events

The Rockbridge Regional Tourism Board is offering a sponsorship opportunity for local tourism events in Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County.

Originally a COVID-19 pandemic bounce-back initiative, the Rockbridge Regional Tourism Board has awarded funds to assist local events in their marketing efforts. The 2023 sponsorship application window opens April 1 and closes May 3. Awards will be announced the last week of May.

Applicants must be organizers of an event occurring between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2023, and located within Lexington, Buena Vista, or Rockbridge County to be eligible. Rockbridge Regional Tourism Board will award monies based on the strength of the request and how well the event aligns with tourism goals and objectives for the entire region. Sponsorship funds totaling $15,500 will be distributed by June 30.
