Rachel Clark, (630) 607-9938 Thank you to the choir at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church for providing the call to worship “Beautiful Wounds” during Sunday’s service at New Monmouth. The praise team led the church in singing “Come Ye Sinners.” Thank you to Teresa Thompson, Laura Hotinger, and Dianne Swink for the beautiful offertory, “Jesus Died Alone.” Pastor Casey Clark preached from John 5 and why we should embrace Christ as judge.
Next Sunday, March 26, is the fourth Sunday, so the children will be collecting our four-cents-a-meal offering. There will be a light luncheon following church with a special presentation about the Five Wishes program. Five Wishes was developed as the first advance care plan (ACP) to address
personal, emotional, and spiritual wishes, in addition to medical treatment. It’s called the “living will with heart and soul” because the document is based on what is most important – being able to define a roadmap for how you want to be cared for. Everyone is invited to come and learn more.
Good Friday Service is April 7 at 6 p.m.
Easter Sunrise Service is on Hotinger Hill at 7. Breakfast will follow the service at the church. Contributions for breakfast foods are welcome. Let Rachel Clark or Janet Drake (countrygirl- [email protected] or 540-460-5711) know if you are able to contribute something.
An Easter egg hunt for the children is Easter morning at 9:45. Church service is at 11.
