On the first Friday of April, the members of Artists in Cahoots will continue celebrating the 40th anniversary of the gallery by featuring paintings and scarves by former Artists in Cahoots member Georgianna Brush.
Brush’s art featured local landscapes and florals, yet her vibrant and gracious personality made an equal impact on the mood of the gallery and the customers who entered the shop, said a spokesman.
The reception on April 7 will run from 5 to 7 p.m.
Each month, the gallery will be featuring past members, gallery history, and celebrate how local art is an important part of the fabric of the Lexington downtown community.
On Friday, May 5, from 5 to 7 p.m., there will be a special birthday celebration with a tiered cake to mark 40 years of the gallery. The guest list is open to the public and will include featured guests who are artists, local business owners, and city leaders.
