High Bridge Presbyterian Church welcomed Scott Hannah to the pulpit this past Sunday. His sermon title was “Planting Seeds and Watching Faith Grow” and he related his sermon to growing the faith.

High Bridge Small Group gathering will be tomorrow, Thursday, March 30, beginning at 7 p.m. Joe Hawes will lead the study on prayer. Light refreshments will be served.

High Bridge begins Holy Week with Palm Sunday Service April 2: Linda Trumbo will deliver the message. Linda’s father was principal at Natural Bridge School, his first year being my senior year (class of 1957). The children will enter the sanctuary waving palm branches at the beginning of the service Jen Brothers from Presbytery of the Peaks will conduct the Maundy Thursday Communion Service beginning at 7 p.m., April 6.

The children’s Easter egg hunt will be held on Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. until noon. On Easter Sunday there will be no Sunday school classes; worship service will begin at 11 a.m., led by Jen Brothers.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny is Saturday, April 1, at the Natural Bridge Volunteer Fire Department from 9 to 11 a.m.

Also remember the Natural Bridge Volunteer Fire Department “31 Day Raffle” to be held the month of May. Tickets are $10 per chance. More news will follow on this but you can call (540) 570-0021 for more information.

Church Scholarship chairperson Linda Wood has announced applications are being accepted from high school graduates and are due by April 17.

Congratulations to Peg Braford on the birth of a new great-grandson, Asher Braford, grandson of Brad and Katrina Braford.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, April 1, from 9 to 11 a.m.
