Lime Kiln Theater announced its 2023 Summer Concert Series lineup last week with the traditional launch party at the Southern Inn in on Tuesday, March 21, followed by an online announcement and ticket release on Wednesday, March 22. Season passes and the season opener with 49 Winchester sold out in under an hour.
This year’s season is steeped in acts well loved by the Lime Kiln Theater crowd, including Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Sam Bush, The Seldom Scene, and Dan Tyminski.
The season opens on May 20 with 49 Winchester, Virginia locals who have recently risen to national stardom.
Also adding some unique flavor to the lineup this year is Rebirth Brass Band out of New Orleans, famed jazz guitarist Julian Lage, and Prairie Home Companion’s Garrison Keillor featuring Robin and Linda Williams.
Lime Kiln Arts, Inc. is a nonprofit (501c3), operating at Lime Kiln Theater in Lexington, Virginia. It opened in 1984 and is rooted in and inspired by the magic of a natural, outdoor theater. Lime Kiln’s Summer Concert Series has been attended by over 50,000 people across more than 80 concerts.
