After a successful first two dinners in March, the new Portable Area Community Table outreach initiative resumes tonight in Rockbridge Baths.
The free community meal will be offered at the Rockbridge Baths firehouse from 6 to 7 p.m.
The weekly Wednesday dinners will continue on April 12 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Glasgow, on April 19 at the Goshen firehouse and on April 26 at the Natural Bridge firehouse.
The dinners, which will run from 6 to 7 p.m., are being rotated among various areas of the county. For dates and locations beyond April, visit communitytablerockbridge.org. Future meals will also be listed in The News-Gazette’s calendar of events.
To schedule a ride to any of the dinners, call the Rockbridge Area Transit System at (540) 463-3346.
The Community Table and RATS, in partnership with Carilion Clinic, launched the PACT dinners in March, at the Palmer Community Center on March 15 and the Raphine firehouse on March 22.
