Esther Pennington, 540-291-2629 High Bridge Presbyterian Church celebrated the resurrection of the Lord this past Sunday with the Rev. Jen Brothers bringing the message. We enjoyed seeing families returning for the service and friends from near and far. It was especially good to see Joanna Whitmore and Catherine Kessinger since they have been convalescing at home and also good to see Beth Braford Thompson, daughter of the late Lloyd and Louise Braford, who makes her home now at Kendal.
Next Sunday the guest minister will be the Rev. Linda Trumbo of Covington. She will also be giving the sermon on the first and third Sundays of each month.
High Bridge received the One Great Hour of Sharing Mission Offering Easter Sunday. Children enjoyed the Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 8, under the leadership of Donna Lotts and helpers.
