The Parry McCluer High School softball team suffered an 11-5 loss at Temple Christian in nondistrict action on Monday of last week before earning an 11-8 road win over Pioneer District rival Eastern Montgomery last Wednesday.
The Fighting Blues ended the week at 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the district. Temple Christian improved to 6-0, while EM fell to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the district.
Details from the games were not provided. The Blues were scheduled to play a doubleheader at Liberty (Bedford) last Thursday, but those games were postponed due to rain.
PM was slated to play host to Temple Christian yesterday and will have a home game against district rival Bath County on Thursday at 5 p.m. before playing host to rival Rockbridge County on Friday at 7 p.m., following the 5 p.m. junior varsity game between the two schools. The Blues will return to district action on Tuesday when they play at Craig County at 5 p.m.
