Harris Supports ‘Common Sense’ In Government

Editor, The News-Gazette: Jade Harris is running for state delegate for House District 24 in a special election Jan. 10.

Editor, The News-Gazette: Jade Harris is running for state delegate for House District 24 in a special election Jan. 10.

She is running for the open seat created by the passing of Del. Ronnie Campbell. He was, if you recall, one of three Virginia delegates who signed a letter in January 2021 that asked Vice President Pence to nullify the state’s election results. His wife, Ellen Campbell, is also running for his seat and promises to continue his legacy.

The attempt to cast doubt on our election process and undermine the peaceful transfer of power is a critical threat to democratic principles. Jade Harris supports common sense in our state government — not ideological posturing or rabble rousing. She wants to work in conjunction with anyone willing to best serve the people of the great state of Virginia and the 24th District.

Although it seems like a small election and may not make it to your busy calendar this season, the General Assembly will place an outsized role in holding the line against regressive legislation, and if we don’t get out and vote, a time may be approaching when our vote is no longer counted.

Vote for Jade Harris for election integrity. DAPHNE RAZ Collierstown
