For Easter Sunday, guest minister at High Bridge Presbyterian Church was the Rev. Linda Trumbo of Covington. She will also be giving the sermon on the first and third Sundays of each month.
Prior to Easter, Rob and Tracy Tackett visited their daughter at Hilton Head. Sam and Violet Vest and family, Todd, Audra and Nora Upchurch spent a week traveling through the southern U.S. and ended with a tour of the Alamo. Brenda Shafer, Cathy Ayers, Carol Tolley and Connie Powell recently went on an Abbott’s Bus Mystery Tour, which took them to Winston-Salem and a return stop in Greensboro before returning home. John and Mary Atthowe spent a week in Paris visiting daughter Megan and son-in-law David and returned on Easter Sunday.
Visitors on Easter Sunday were Harmon Kessinger, Virginia Tech senior who spent Easter break with his grandmother, Catherine Kessinger; Todd, Audra, and Nora Upchurch of Lovettsville; Travis, Sharon Ann, and Bear Tolley of Staunton, and Addie Suter, from Christopher Newport University who was home for spring break; Mark Pennington, of Martinsburg, W.Va., Dianne Rakes and Chelsea Henderson of Salem; Tish Vest’s sister, and Garnett Teass granddaughter.

Sunday, April 23, the Presbyterian Women’s Coordinating Team will meet after worship with president Carol Tolley leading.
The Glasgow First Aid will sponsor a drive-thru rabies clinic on April 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the first aid building in Glasgow located at 710 McCulloch St. The cost will be $10 cash for a 1-year certificate which will be donated to the Glasgow Lifesaving and First Aid. Three-year certificates will be available to those bringing a certificate for the previous vaccination. Call Larry Mayo at (540) 4606903 with any questions. Also, on April 22, the Glasgow Lifesaving and First Aid will have a cakewalk fundraiser beginning at 6 p.m. Food will be available and cake donations will be appreciated.
The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will be open tomorrow, Thursday, April 20, from 9 to noon. Food pantry board members will meet Monday, April 24, at 6 p.m. at Beth Horon United Methodist Church. Dave VanAsten, president, will lead the meeting. All supporting churches should send their voting representatives, guests are welcome.
