A reminder is being sent out to all residents of Elk Creek Lane to please drive slowly and respectfully, especially on the northern end of the lane. Last Tuesday, a beautiful female Persian cat named Fudge, belonging to Frances Brown, was killed. Elk Creek Lane is a quiet, private, one lane, bumpy old country neighborhood road. A speed limit of 10 miles per hour is clearly posted as well as signs that say “Cat Crossing” and “Deer Crossing.” Again, please drive slowly and be mindful of the animals.
Sending birthday wishes to Rhonda Reuther as well as to Faith Baptist Church members Shelley Fitzgerald, Finley Campbell and Bob Tolley.
Sending well wishes of better health, hope and love to my friend Terry Palmer.

Road construction continues at the entrance of James River Road from Arnolds Valley Road as crews work to widen the entrance. Work began this past week on the north side of the entrance as well. Orange cones and barrels mark the area and some loose gravel is scattered across both roads near the entrance. Please be mindful when driving through the area, in or out of the Valley when passing through the construction.
