April 12, 2023 Editor, The News-Gazette: It is Republican policy to keep weapons of war on our streets. There are three reasons for this: their donors desire this, their base demands it, and they see it a key method to their obtaining and retaining power outside the ballot box.
Republicans are responsible for keeping weapons of war on our streets and as this is written another long gun has been used in Louisville to kill and wound nearly a dozen people. It can happen here; it’s only a matter of time. Nobody is safe.
So next time it happens here, remember its Republican policy and the Republicans who keep the weapons of war on our streets. Nobody is safe from random firefights, including politicians or their children.
