Monday, April 24 -- The Rockbridge County High School girls lacrosse team rolled by Patrick Henry 16-4 in Lexington.
Nala Shearer poured in 10 points to pace the Wildcats (4-1), notching six goals and four assists on the night. Lola Mulitalo tallied five goals and a pair of helpers for RC, while Libba Erskine finished with three goals, one assist and four draw controls.
The Wildcats sprinted out of the gates, jumping out to an 8-1 lead within the first eight minutes of the contest and assuming a 13-3 advantage by halftime. For the game, RC outshot the Patriots 29-14 and held a commanding 17-5 edge on the draw circle.
Ruby Jones recorded 11 saves in goal for PH (3-5), while Rachel Hines notched six stops for the Wildcats.
Maddie Dahl and McKenzie Hines each chipped in one goal and one assist for RC, and the duo combined for 11 of RC's 17 draw controls. Lily Youngman added two assists for the 'Cats.
RC will travel to William Byrd for a 5:30 p.m. contest on Wednesday.
