The Brownsburg Ruritan Club is a community service nonprofit organization that has served Rockbridge for over 83 years. The club holds several fundraisers each year, allowing it to make donations to, and support, over 20 local charities and other worthy causes in the immediate community. Those interested can check out the club on its Facebook page Brownsburg Ruritans.

“For over 70 years the club hosted an annual horse show in the Brownsburg area,” said Tolley. “It was our biggest fundraiser of the year but times have changed and we have changed with the times. That is why we are launching the first annual Brownsburg Ruritan Club corn hole tournament. We also will be cooking barbecue chicken on May 13 at the Bustleburg horse show grounds.”

Club officers for 2023 are John Coleman, president; Bryan Tolley, secretary; and Barry Chewning, treasurer.
