Curtis Hunter McCormick, 85, of Lexington died Friday, May 5, 2023, at Woodlands Health & Rehab Center.

Curtis Hunter McCormick, 85, of Lexington died Friday, May 5, 2023, at Woodlands Health & Rehab Center. He was born Dec. 25, 1937, in Rockbridge County, a son of William D. McCormick and Susan Bell Conner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dorothy Hostetter; daughter Darlene Hostetter (Tommy); great-granddaughter Easton Higgins; and brothers Jackie, Wayne and Bobby McCormick. Curtis spent his career in masonry work with his brothers, Jackie and Wayne McCormick . Surviving are his children, Ann Angle, Karen Smith (Charlie), Angie Hostetter, Johnny Hostetter, Darryl "Hitler" Hostetter, Michael Hostetter (Michelle) and Timmy McCormick; sister Debbie Knick (Jimmy); special grandson Brad Hostetter;16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by Dorsey Hostetter. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 9, from 4 to 6 pm. at Harrison Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lexington Fire Department, 708 S. Main Street, Lexington, VA 24450. Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
