Evelyn Ayers, 540-463-2727 There will be a congregational meeting immediately following the worship service at Oxford Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Jan. 22. The purpose of the meeting is to hear a report from the finance committee chairman, Rufus Tyree, concerning the 2023 church budget.

On Sunday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m., there will be another “Twilight Concert at a Country Church” at Oxford Church featuring three talented musicians who will perform on the piano, cello and violin. No admission will be charged but donations will be accepted. After the musicians have been paid, funds left over will go toward the Oxford Reeves-Whitehurst Scholarship Fund.

The neighborhood grocery needs cooking oil, sugar and flour for the month of January. They are also requesting children’s books in good condition.

Our deepest sympathy is extended to Eloise Sensabaugh and family on the death of her brother, Henry Goodbar, last week.
