CURTIS McCORMICK

Curtis Hunter McCormick, 85, of Lexington died Friday, May 5, 2023, at Woodlands Health & Rehab Center.

He was born Dec. 25, 1937, in Rockbridge County, a son of William D. McCormick and Susan Bell Conner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dorothy Hostetter; daughter Darlene Hostetter (Tommy); great-granddaughter Easton Higgins; and brothers Jackie, Wayne and Bobby McCormick.

Curtis spent his career in masonry work with his brothers, Jackie and Wayne McCormick.

Surviving are his children, Ann Angle, Karen Smith (Charlie), Angie Hostetter, Johnny Hostetter, Darryl “Hitler” Hostetter, Michael Hostetter (Michelle) and Timmy McCormick; sister Debbie Knick (Jimmy); special grandson Brad Hostetter; 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 10, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by Dorsey Hostetter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lexington Fire Department, 708 S. Main St., Lexington, VA 24450.
