Wildcats Rout Hidden Valley In Girls Lax

 

Wednesday, May 10 -- Rockbridge County High School cruised to a 23-3 victory over Hidden Valley in a girls lacrosse matchup in Lexington.

Nala Shearer posted 12 points for the Wildcats (11-1), totaling seven goals and five assists on the night. Lola Mulitalo also tallied seven goals, while McKenzie Hines bagged five goals and Maddie Dahl finished with one goal and six assists. Calli Anderson scored all three goals and also grabbed five draw controls for the Titans (7-5).

RC scored the first 13 goals of the game and led 14-1 at halftime. On the evening, the Wildcats outshot Hidden Valley 32-7 and produced a 20-7 advantage on the draw circle. Dahl led the way with nine draw controls, while Libba Erskine snared six.

Jaden McCoy led the RC defense with three caused turnovers, and Rachel Hines saved three of the six shots on target that she faced. Erskine and Mckenzie Polson each chipped in one goal and one assist for the 'Cats, and Lily Youngman recorded two assists. Victoria Anderson had a pair of helpers for the Titans.

RC will wrap up the regular season with a home contest against E.C. Glass on Tuesday. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
