Smokey Bear Poster Participants

The president of the Glasgow Garden Club, Valerie Vaughan, is shown celebrating with the fourth and fifth grade students from the Natural Bridge Elementary “Dreams” after-school program following the club’s award presentations to the winners and participants of the Smokey Bear Poster Contest. Isis Hudson, fourth grade (top row), and Carter Whitmer, fifth grade (first row, far right), were recognized for their first place winning posters from the Shenandoah District of the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs as well as their first place ribbons from the Glasgow Garden Club.
