This past Sunday’s worship service at High Bridge Presbyterian Church was provided by Linda Trumbo. After service, everyone enjoyed a covered-dish luncheon for the Birthday Objective by the Presbyterian Women.
On Sunday, May 28, the morning message will be provided by Margie Anderson of Lynchburg. Also, the Rev. Paul Sydnor will give a talk about his missionary work in Turkey. All Sunday school classes are taking a break until August.
Small Group will meet Thursday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at the fellowship hall. Joe Hawes will have the Bible Study and guests are welcome.
The women’s evening Bible study group will meet Tuesday, June 6, with Lorna Whisler at 6 p.m. Dwinnie Shafer will have the Bible lesson. The afternoon women’s circle will not be meeting during June, July or August.
Bob and Kathy Gilbert, and son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Hannah Gilbert, recently returned from a 10-day trip touring points of interest in Ireland. Returning from an Abbott’s one-day mystery bus tour to High Bridge State Park and Comedy Sports Club in Richmond were Jane and Brenda Shafer, Cathy Ayers, Dorothy Perkins, Dianne Rakes and Kylene Sauer.
Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, May 27, from 9 to 11 p.m.
