FLORA SORRELLS

Flora Jane Sorrells, 93, of Lexington died Friday, May 19, 2023, at her home.

Born May 8, 1930, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Leslie Ferguson and Annie Myrtle Martin Ferguson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert David Sorrells, and a great-greatgrandson, Thomas.

Flora Jane was a member of the Lauderdale A.R. Presbyterian Church and retired from Rockbridge County Schools Food Services.

Surviving are her son, Robert David Sorrells Jr. (Connie); one grandchild, Travis Sorrells (Connie); and three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Justin and Benjamin.

A graveside service was conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. A memorial service followed at 11 a.m. in the Lauderdale A.R. Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev .Benjamin Dowling officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Flora Jane’s memory to Carol’s Coats, c/o Lauderdale ARP Church, 300 S. Main St., Lexington, VA 24450.
