William Fitch Crouch Jr., 72, of Buena Vista passed away Monday, May 29, 2023. 

He was born Dec. 11, 1950, in Rockbridge County, the son of William Fitch Crouch Sr. and Mildred Childress Crouch.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Charlotte Rickman Crouch; brothers, Michael L. Crouch (Teresa) and Henry W. Crouch; sister, Marie E. Porto; sister-in-law, Joan R. Manley; and many nieces and nephews. 

Fitch was a life member of the Buena Vista Fire Department where he considered them brothers and family.  He loved assisting the Buena Vista Rescue Squad and Police Department.  His passion was his community.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Big Island.

Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Buena Vista Fire Department or Buena Vista Rescue Squad.
