Elizabeth Page (Francis) Cunningham, was born on Oct. 27, 1947, in Lexington, at Stonewall Jackson Hospital, to George Edwin and June Elizabeth Cunningham, who preceded her in death. She died on Jan. 12, 2023, at her home in Buena Vista.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Worley Humphrey, son-inlaw, William Humphrey; granddaughter, Elizabeth Michaela Humphrey; sister, Martha Keith; brothers, George Cunningham Jr. (Teresa), and William Cunningham (Crystal); sister, JoAnn Tigert (Tom); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and one very special aunt, Shirley Floyd. Elizabeth had many special friends, including Gretta Barnes, Debbie Mealue, and one who preceded her in death, Mrs. Vivenne, and so many others.

Elizabeth had many loves in her life but none more than riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway. She donated her body to the Anatomical Society of Virginia, wanting to help educate our future doctors.

Elizabeth worked for Virginia Commonwealth University for 15 years until retirement in December of 2022. Her faith took her many places from Presbyterian, Baptist, Catholic and finally she joined the Church of the Brethren of Oronoco in Amherst. Her love of football was over the top. Any given Sunday, she would have on a Steelers hat, jersey, and tennis shoes while she watched football or when she was out shopping on any given day.

Any donations can be made to the VMI Museum in Lexington in her name.

A memorial service was conducted Saturday, Jan. 14, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Arnold Bradley.

Arrangements were handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services. N-G
