Clifford Lee Vanderveer, 60, of Lexington died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Clifford Lee Vanderveer, 60, of Lexington died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born Feb. 28, 1963, in Lexington, he was a son of Ashbridge Milton Vanderveer Jr. and Dorothy Jane Vest Vanderveer.

Clifford retired from Everbrite with 30-plus years of service and attended Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church. He also was a local farmer and an electrician.

Surviving are his wife, Carla H. Vanderveer; son/ nephew, Bentley K. Tyler; one brother, Michael W. Vanderveer (Carlos Rocha); father-in-law, Karlyos Hayslett; brothers-in-law, Greg Hayslett and Walter Tyler; sister-in-law, Charlotte Tyler; niece, Lacy Tyler; greatnephew, Grayson Hartless; special cousin, Martha Hayslett; and several aunts, an uncle and cousins. Also surviving are extended family Mary Anne and Eldridge Pultz.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 31, at Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Adam Williams, who was a special friend.
