Kenneth Franklin Helmick, 78, of Raphine died Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his home.
Born in Rockbridge County on Aug. 6, 1944, he was a son of Ernest Lee Helmick and Mary Edith Fredwell Helmick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
He was a member of Vesuvius Baptist Church and he was employed by Virginia Department of Transportation.
Mr. Helmick is survived by his wife, Katherine L. Helmick; daughter Jane Hughes; son Frankie Helmick Jr.; a brother, Waldo Helmick; and several grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 31, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Tyler Clem and J.O. Phillips.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at McElwee Chapel Cemetery. N-G
