Betty Lou Martin Mays, 75, of Buena Vista died May 30

Betty Lou Martin Mays, 75, of Buena Vista, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

She was born July 12, 1947, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Terry Martin and Ruth Martin.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel Mays; brothers, Thomas Martin, Evans Martin and Morris Martin; and sisters, Verna Newell, Daisy Kirby and Audrey Powell. 

Surviving are her sons, Rex Mays (Lisa) and Davey Mays (Laurie); grandchildren, Joshua Mays (Nikki), Alex Mays, Dustin Mays (Nell), and Brandon Mays; great-grandchildren, Keenan Clark and Xander Mays; and sisters, Lillian Harless and Christine Terry.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Pastor Butch Grow. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
