ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 802.03, 04 and 05 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that public hearings will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, followed by public hearings by the Board of Supervisors on Monday,June 26, 2023, at or after 6:00 p.m. at the same location to consider the following applications: 1) Samuel F.and Beth B. Rowe, 301 Sugar Loaf Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401, have made an application for a zoning map amendment to conditionally rezone two parcels of land from the General Residential (R-1) Zoning District to the General Business (B-1) Zoning District. The properties under consideration are identified as 8 Hays Creek Road, Brownsburg,Virginia 24415 and are located on the southwest side of the intersection of Brownsburg Turnpike and Hays Creek Road (Route 724). The properties are further identified as tax map number 26A-1-1 and 26A-1-3A (0.26 total acres – per tax records). The properties are located in the Walkers Creek Magisterial District. This is a continued Public Hearing from the May 10, 2023 Planning Commission Meeting. 2) Mountain Valley Rentals C LLC, 1317 Woodland Ave., Buena Vista, Virginia 24416, has made an application for a zoning map amendment to conditionally rezone three parcels of land from the General Residential (R-1) Zoning District to the General Business (B-1) Zoning District. The properties, identified 679 Long Hollow Road, Buena Vista, Virginia 24416, are located on the westside of the intersection of Long Hollow Road(Route 631),approximately 0.18 miles north of the intersection of Long Hollow Road and Middle Road (Route 704). The properties are further identified as tax map number 77A1-16A (0.727 acres), 77-13-1D, and 77-13-X1 (1D and X1 are 1.24 total acres – per tax records). The properties are located in the South River Magisterial District.

PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING June 13th 2023 Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.
1) Zoning Map Amendment for Rehl property, Tax Maps 8-1—-1 & 2, to rezone from R6 Residential Planned Unit Development (PUD) and General Manufacturing to Institutional 2) Zoning Map Amendment for Rehl property, Tax Map 19-16-52-1, to rezone from General Manufacturing to R4 Medium Density Residential 3) Zoning Text Amendments for Institutional Zone to update permitted and conditional uses and revise intent statement The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular monthly Planning Commission meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13th 2023. Notice is hereby given that the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at its meeting on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Board Meeting Room on the 1st floor of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington , VA, 24450, to consider adoption of the following: Ordinance to Authorize and Approve the Rockbridge Regional Human Services Center Agreement Between the City of Buena Vista, the City of Lexington, and the County of Rockbridge to Establish a Mutually Beneficial Basis for the Use and Operation of a Regional Human Services Center and to Establish Terms for the Sharing of Costs for Purchase of the Land and Construction and Operation of the Center All interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing to express their views on the proposed ordinance.
