Please note High Bridge Presbyterian Church worship services will begin at 10 a.m. each Sunday beginning June 11 through August. Deacons are providing lemonade on the lawn after worship, weather permitting.

Guest speaker the 11th will be W.D. Hasty of Peaks Presbytery. Also, on the 11th, there will be a “noisy can” offering and children’s church.

Donna Lotts, children’s ministry director, will be leading the children’s fun time following the June 25 service, with lunch, ice cream and water activities. Bring extra clothes or a swimsuit, and a towel.

Plans are underway for Vacation Bible School to be held at Cave Mountain Lake on Saturday, July 29, from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you would like to help, please let Donna know.

Small group Bible study led by Joe Hawes will be Thursday, June 29, but the week before everyone is invited to our church pavilion for a hootenanny — a musically fun time (I think). This name was given by organizer Joe Hawes. All this takes place at 7 p.m.

The Scholarship Committee announces one more graduate — Max Pennington, who graduated from Baltimore Community College May 14.

Gabe, Arabella and Evianna Tolley visited with his grandparents David and Carol Tolley and Audrey Armentrout while in the Natural Bridge area this week. Gabe is stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, after a ninemonth training exercise at Fort Sill, Wyoming. He will also spend time with his parents, Travis and Sharon Ann, and his brother Bear Tolley, and grandparents Larry and Sharon Creamer during his stay in Virginia.

Our sympathy goes out to Jason White and family on the death of his grandmother, Hazel Hicks of Abingdon.

The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, June 10, from 9 to 11 a.m.
