Many years ago the Palmer Community Center was an elementary school where children gathered to play, sing and learn their ABCs.
Last week children again gathered there and played, sang and learned about the love of Jesus Christ. There were classes for all ages. They had a wonderful experience and everyone connected with bringing this event together deserves a big “thank you.” Participating churches were Collierstown Baptist, Collierstown Presbyterian, Collierstown and Mt. Horeb Methodist, Oxford Presbyterian and Union View Adventist.
Next Sunday, June 18, worship service at Oxford Church will be held in the church park at 11 a.m. Please bring your lawn chair.
On Sunday, June 11, those who attended Oxford Church had the experience of hearing the old church bell ringing again after many years of silence. Bobby Black and Robby Black did some work on it and Jimmy Knick rang it 11 times at 10:55 to signify the start of morning worship.
